Our Quality
Our Quality at Birmingham Based John Charlton Photography
Here at Birmingham based John Charlton Photography, our quality is second to none and we believe that it should be presented in the best possible way. High quality tools are used with skill to capture your photographs so that those photographs will last as long as possible, we use high quality fine art paper in conjunction with Epson UltraChrome K3™ ink technology for the prints.

The combination of the Epson Ink technology with FineArt Baryta paper produces a print that gives a “wow” factor particularly to black and white prints. The paper has a gloss finish making each image stand out and at 325gsm in weight, each print has the look and feel of high quality gallery artwork.
Generally, the prints used by most photographers for albums are of a relatively poor quality in that all the colours that were in the original scene wont be replicated properly in the print(as it saves the photographer money, but at the price of poor photo’s that don’t last anywhere near as long). Gradual tones of colours get “lost” as the method used for printing can’t cope with these finer tones and gradations. Using the combination of professional inks and fine art paper we can be sure that our photographs look exactly how we want you to see it – and it will last a lifetime. Epson’s Ultrachrome K3 ink has a light fastness (an ink’s ability to retain the correct colour over prolonged exposure to light behind a sheet of clear glass) of 108 years and longer for a black and white print.
We believe that high quality photography deserves the highest quality of presentation, which is why all our work is presented on materials which offer the highest specification. As professional photographers, we want our work to look it’s best which is why we have physically met with our suppliers and looked at the quality of not only their products but also their experience in the area to ensure that the photographic quality is built in from the second before we take the photography to the point at which you opening your wedding album for the first time.
We want you to enjoy our photography for a lifetime – with our prints, you will. For any further information about the quality of John Charlton Photography photographs, please feel free to contact us.
