A couple of weekends ago saw me having a little wander around the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham with Rhian and Philip whose wedding I’m photographing later this year. We only had a an hour  – but just like Hannibal from the A-team – I had a plan! I’d organised a little route that took in some of the city’s industrial heritage – taking in the canels, and the old factories and buildings in the Jewellery Quarter.

I love being a wedding photographer in a city as it gives me so much scope for ideas :) And I love doing pre-wed shoots early morning (in this case it was 9am on a Sunday) as generally there’s not that many people about – and I can get creative with the environment and the couple.

Needless to say, we had a great time and got some fabulous images  – I can’t wait for their wedding in October!
