Siobhan and Jaime’s Wedding

We had the pleasure of photographing Siobhan and Jaime’s wedding in Birmingham a couple of weeks ago.  I knew this was going to be a great wedding as Jaime and Siobhan are such a laid back couple so there was no stress and they’d chosen a great place for their reception.  And it was great not to have to travel far for this wedding,  the church and reception venue were all within 5 minutes of home!

The afternoon started at Siobhan’s parents house to capture the preparations, then on to St Edwards RC church in Selly Park.  This is a church I know well, as it is attached to my old school so it was a bit weird to be back there as a photographer and not a member of the congregation.  After a lovely, happy ceremony, we quickly did some pictures outside, as despite the sunshine it was bitterly cold!

Siobhan and Jaime and their family then headed off to the reception in two gorgeous vintage Rolls Royce’s.  Their reception was at the Kitchen Garden Cafe in Kings Heath, which fitted the relaxed theme of this wedding perfectly. If you have never been, this is a great oasis in the busy shopping area, which combines a cafe/restaurant, garden shop and deli.  The guests enjoyed canapes and drinks while we used the courtyard  to get a few more pictures of the new Mr and Mrs Codsall. We then left them to enjoy a fabulous meal and to carry on the celebrations….
