Wedding of Neil and Jo

At the weekend I had the pleasure of shooting my friend’s Jo’s wedding at Leeds Town Hall. It was a really special day as it’s not often that you get asked to shoot your friend’s wedding – and although it was a more hectic than usual as I was working by myself  without an assistant, I got some great shots.

I met up with Neil and Jo at Haley’s hotel on the Friday afternoon to have a look around the venue and to sort out the final arrangements for Saturday. The ceremony was at 11.30am at Leeds town hall so I didn’t have a great deal of time to get from Jo’s mum’s to the city centre, park and then haul myself and gear to the town hall. I took the opportunity to get some shots of them both together before leaving them to enjoy their Friday evening. The weather on the day was great, and the rain held off for most of the day which was good :). As Jo is a big fan of shoes, I thought I’d do something a little different with them photography-wise. After the shoes and dress, onwards to the town hall, followed by a drinks reception at Epernany with the wedding breakfast back at the Haley’s.

A great day and a fantastic couple – who made it possible to get some great photographs and really good to see some old friends too. Enough of me waffling on,  I’ll leave everyone with a few photographs of the day…. more to follow when Jo and Neil have seen all the images!
