Leanne and Darren’s Akamba and Bournville Engagement Session

One of my favourite parts of being a wedding photographer is that often I get to photograph the weddings of client’s brothers and sisters. Last year I had the pleasure of photographing Darren’s sister’s wedding at the Old Library in the Custard Factory – and this week Darren and Leanne get married in the same church with their reception at Akamba in Solihull.

For their engagement shoot back in April we started at Akamba before heading over to Bournville where they used to live. As Bournville is local to me, it’s somewhere that I love to photograph in spring and summer because it provides a really nice backdrop to photographs – and has lots of different options for photography.

Engagement sessions are something that my clients find really useful as it means that they get used to being photographed in a more relaxed setting – meaning that on the wedding day they aren’t worried about being photographed. 95% of my clients say to me that they hate having their photograph taken – but after the engagement session are much happier.
