Stewart and Kash’s Birmingham City Centre Wedding
Being asked to photograph two friend’s wedding is a huge honour for me. It’s even more so when the two people are good friends who I’ve worked with in the past (Stewart is also a wedding DJ). So, when Stewart and Kash asked me if I’d photograph their wedding – I of course said yes. Not just because they promised wedding craziness and a drag-queen; because as a couple they are in-love and work so well together and I knew that the emotion on the wedding days (yes, it was a two day affair) would be amazing.
Kash got ready over in Harborne and Stewart got ready in the City centre before heading over to the registry office. Kash, his bestman and me made a small detour over to The Rectory in St.Paul’s Sq. so that a celebratory champagne could be had – before arriving (on time) at the registry office. It was lovely to see both of them before the ceremony with their family and friends. Following the ceremony at Birmingham Registry office, the wedding party and guests were transported over to Metro Bar and Grill for the reception.
The Saturday evening saw the 2nd part of wedding, again at Metro Bar, where more friends enjoyed the evening reception with an ice-cream van, Miss Penny and some pretty impressive dancing! A beautiful two days and am so honoured to have been asked to photograph it for Stewart and Kash.
