WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
“When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.”
Wedding photographs don’t always immediately have a great meaning – but five, ten years down the line will be will be completely priceless. You will have spent a lot of time and money creating your perfect wedding day – so it pays to make sure that you have the amazing photographs to remember it.
I’ve spent 10 years of my life as a wedding photographer capturing couples’ weddings – and every single wedding is unique and special to me. I remember the disappointment when I first saw my own wedding photographs and it’s why I want to give my couples wedding photographs that they will love and cherish for years to come.
My biggest concern was that the photographer would be ‘in the way’ in the act of taking photos – spoiling our guests’ view of the wedding, being disruptive and almost pushy in the act of taking photos, unfortunately I have witnessed this at family weddings! John was the complete opposite!
AUTHENTIC AND NATURAL
Wedding photography deserves photographs that are authentic, which is why most of the wedding day, my images are a documentary style – capturing the little moments that happen and that show people’s real emotions. I like my group photographs to be relaxed and quick – I mean, who wants to stand around all day listening to a photographer order them about! I like to think of group photographs a bit like relaxed family photographs – and I make it quick and painless.

FULL DAY
I think it’s important to document as much of the wedding day as possible so I photograph the wedding from the getting ready through to after the first dance. I want to be able to tell your story with as many images as possible, which is why I’m with you for an average of 12 hours on the wedding day.

MODERN AND CREATIVE
Modern, creative relaxed photographs which use elements of the location to effect is something I love. I don’t want to take you away from your guests for hours, so I work around the time that you can give me in the daytime and evening to create some beautiful relaxed images of you both that are individual and creative.

PRICING
My pricing is straightforward and starts from £1,795 which includes travel in the UK. I charge one price for a full day of photography, including; a minimum of 450 edited, hi-resolution images in an online gallery which you can print and share with friends and family like this gallery (and everyone can download the images from there too) and a slideshow of the photographs – similar to this one.
ALBUMS AND EXTRAS
I’m a big fan of beautiful wedding albums which complement the photographs which is why I use one of the best album companies to produce handmade books for your photographs. Albums start £450 and you can find more details about my albums here, other extras can also be added such as pre-wedding shoots, prints, save-the-date and thank cards which you can find out more about here.
We’d say that aside from an incredibly professional photographer (and obviously someone who knows their stuff!) John is personable, friendly and someone who will not just ‘take pictures’ but someone who will be an integral but subtle part of their day to remember.
